Offline POS when power drops
How Ghana shops keep selling on POS Desktop when power or network drops — then upload when back online.

Sell when the network is down
POS Desktop keeps the sale, the receipt, and the barcode scan on the machine at the POS. A POS that only works online stops the queue when the network is down. Cash and card-on-file habits still work; MoMo that needs the network waits until you are back online.
Sync when it comes back
When the connection returns, sales, stock, and online orders catch up on their own. Do not edit the same product on two devices while the network is down. One machine owns the POS until sync finishes.
Use the printer and light you already have
A receipt printer on the counter, and a lamp or UPS on the PC, matter more than a new hardware kit. DwumaPOS Desktop is built for Ghana POS — cash sales when the network drops. Test a print during a planned power cut so staff are not surprised at night.
What not to do offline
Do not start a big stock take on a second laptop while the POS is offline. Do not change prices in admin on your phone and expect the offline the POS to match until sync. Finish the queue, then update.
After the lights return
Open the sales list and confirm the offline sales uploaded. Check one product that sold during the cut. If stock looks wrong, fix that item before you open the website again.
