Why POS and website must share one list
When the Instagram price is not the POS price, you either sell stock you do not have, or you charge the wrong amount. One product list — and you choose what shows on the website — keeps every channel honest.
Start narrow online
Put your fast-moving items online first. Keep complicated sizes, and items that need a staff member, off the website until the shop is comfortable with it. Ten honest items beat two hundred stale ones.
See website orders next to POS sales
Online orders should show in the same list as POS sales, so staff do not need a second app at close of day. Train one person to pack website orders at the same POS.
Photos and titles that match the shelf
Use the name customers already ask for, plus the size or colour on the pack. A clear photo from your shelf ranks and converts better than a supplier photo of a different pack.
