This Cookie Policy explains how DwumaPOS ("we") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.dwumapos.com, the merchant app, and related storefronts. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage and similar technologies for login sessions, preferences, and basic analytics.
3. Essential cookies
Required for security, authentication, load balancing, and remembering critical preferences (for example signed-in sessions). These cannot be switched off in the product without breaking core features.
4. Functional cookies
Help remember non-essential preferences such as UI density or recently viewed shops where enabled. Disabling may reduce convenience but not core checkout or POS flows.
5. Analytics cookies
Help us understand how merchants and shoppers use the marketing site and product so we can improve reliability and onboarding. We minimise personal data in analytics where practical.
6. Third-party cookies
Payment providers (BYOK PSPs), support chat, and embedded media may set their own cookies when you use those features. Their policies apply to those cookies.
7. Storefronts operated by merchants
When you visit a merchant shop on DwumaPOS, that merchant may use cookies or pixels they configure. DwumaPOS platform cookies still apply for hosting and security.
8. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or checkout. Mobile OS settings may also limit tracking.
9. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close the browser or after a short idle period. Persistent cookies last only as long as needed for the purpose described (for example remembering a preference).
