Terms of Service

Rules for using DwumaPOS. Accounts, the bill, payments into your account, and fair use.

1. The service

DwumaPOS provides point-of-sale, online shop, stock, staff tools, payments integrations, and digital-commerce software for merchants ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate business information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including staff you invite. You must be able to form a binding contract for your business.

3. Plans, subscriptions & billing

Start free — your 30-day trial begins when you sign up on Starter, Business, or Scale. Subscribe in Billing before it ends to keep selling. We may add 14 extra trial days once per shop when you connect Paystack or Hubtel or record your first POS sale within 21 days of signup. When the trial ends, choose a paid plan or selling stops. Paid plans are billed per the Pricing page (monthly or prepaid) and in-app billing currency. Cancel from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Taxes may apply where required.

4. Payments & digital commerce

Card and Mobile Money processing is performed by third-party PSPs using your own keys (BYOK) where configured. DwumaPOS does not hold your settlement balance. For digital products you are responsible for wallet float, listing accuracy, and lawful fulfillment. Delivered digital goods are generally non-refundable except where delivery demonstrably failed.

5. Your data & content

You retain ownership of your business data. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that data to operate the Service, provide support, and meet legal obligations. See also our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for illegal goods, spam, abuse, malware, unauthorized scraping, or resale of the platform itself. The Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use applies in full. We may suspend accounts that put the platform, buyers, or other merchants at risk.

7. Availability & support

The Service is provided on a commercially reasonable basis without a hard uptime SLA unless separately contracted. Support is available via in-app chat, email, and WhatsApp channels published on the site. Status updates appear at /status.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to subscription fees paid in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for PSP outages, your hardware failures, or internet disruption at the shop.

9. Termination & export

You may stop using the Service at any time. After termination you may request a data export within 30 days, subject to legal retention needs.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
